NBA pick'em: featured games and the Game of the Night
How NBA weeks work on Pickem League, why featured games count double, and how the nightly Game of the Night vote works.
Football has a natural weekly rhythm. The NBA doesn't โ there are games almost every night, around 50 a week. Pickem League turns that into a weekly game you can actually keep up with.
Weeks and locks
NBA weeks run Monday through Sunday. Every game of the week is open to pick, and each one locks at its own tip-off, so you can make all your picks on Monday or pick night by night.
Featured games
Each week, about ten games are featured โ usually the best matchups by team record, spread across the week's nights. Featured games count double; every other game counts at the normal rate.
The Picks page shows only featured games by default, so a quick week takes a couple of minutes. Switch to All games to pick the rest, or change your default in Settings. Every game you pick counts either way.
Game of the Night
Every night with games has a site-wide vote for its Game of the Night. Voting for a night closes 24 hours before that night's first tip-off, and the game with the most votes wins.
The Game of the Night counts double, like a featured game, and it gets the same bonus picks as football's Game of the Week: an optional pick of which team covers the spread, and a final-score prediction.
Tips for NBA weeks
- Back-to-backs and late injury news matter a lot in the NBA. Since each game locks at tip-off, it pays to check in on game day.
- Early in the season, records say little. Treat a 3โ0 start with caution.
- Save your 10s for featured games you're confident in โ they're worth double.
